We are a mutual aid collective with food justice and community liberation at the center of our work.
Our Story
Worcester Community Fridges was started amidst the Covid 19 pandemic in January 2021. We were inspired to start the community fridges after noticing that the pandemic made food pantries less accessible to working folks with their limited days and hours. We identified a need for 24/7 access to free food, and that's how Worcester Community Fridges was born!
We partner with local businesses to host an outdoor refrigerator, that is accessible and open to the community 24/7. Since its inception, Worcester Community Fridges 'Woo Fridge,' has worked in solidarity with the Worcester community to organize four free food fridges though out the city,
